Family Pictures

A Day in the Life Of...

This year has been full of lots of house projects,

our daddy is SO gifted!
Mom's favorite was the Swing addition

Lots more front yard time :)
Distance Learning, Ice Cream Trucks, Doggie cuddles, Masked shopping...
Learning to be friends, sisterly/brotherly sleepovers,
saying hello to a new fish,
saying goodbye to friends,
igniting a love for Star Wars.

A day in the life of our 2020.
As mama says, it's been "confining refining"
but we have seen so much good, thanking God.

Grandmas

We are so lucky to have 2 fun grandmas (Nana & Lola)
Silly Lilli (and her 9 mth invisaligns) having fun
playing games with Nana with " Watch Your Mouth".
Lola came over one Saturday and kept admiring daddy's hat,
we finally let her try it on.  Lola is always ready to strike a pose!

A-Day, B-Day, Sea-Day

Got to celebrate Axel's 6th birthday at Lola's with cousins.
For Bear's 10th b-day we went to visit his seal friends.

Fun family moments!

School 2020

I can't believe I have to start high school!?!? Virtual!?!
Some of us were more excited than others.

It feels like "groundhog's day" but I guess mom
has some proof that some learning has occurred.

Summer Samples

With this whole quarantine time, things are slowly growing.
(Mom even sees it in my sister and my relationship.)
Mom's been spending time "trying" to figure out sourdough.
Dad is still cultivating his "Pineapple Farm".
Lil & Axel eat whatever comes from daddy's garden.

Tahoe Summer 2020

I got to get away with Nana & Pops to go visit
Aunt Nancy & Uncle Mike. It was memorable.
Sorry, I don't have a good picture of Nana
(she had her own mini vacation).

4th of July

This year our 4th of July was a little different than usual,
but we had fun in our own backyard. Minus the mosquito's (look at Bear's eye)

Sundays

We love to visit with Lola and Opa on Sundays.
Aunt Tanya and our cousins are often there too,
Aunt Tanya caught these sweet moments.

More Beach Days

DOG BEACH
Smokey LOVED going to the beach with the family!
Since there wasn't much to do or places to go with Covid,

our favorite outing were beach days...family days...friend days.

It was the only place that felt normal

and beautiful!

June Beach Days

We had 3 fun birthday beach days in one week.
I loved going to Laguna with Nana to her favorite spot.
We stopped at Starbucks on the way and had to mask up.
We had "Sokka create the Suki sculpture",
for our summer Avatar theme.
Got to celebrate Nana & Pops and gave him his
"Best Pop Ever" T-shirt.
So glad we can still make memories!
The Balboa Ferry was memorable and so great to spend
the day with friends and family.

Father's Day 2020

Meet the best dad in the whole wide world!
We finally got to see our cousins and celebrate Oliver's 6th birthday.

Road Trip???

Finally, daddy let us part with the " Old Faithful-Betsy",
I mean someone literally knocked on our door and asked to buy her.
Believe you me, mama saved that number, so in God's timing and with much celebration to answered prayer we finally have a "Mini Van Mama" and she doesn't care because it has over 15 cup holders.
Mama is happy and I suppose I am not quite as embarrassed.
Lilli and Axel didn't like giving away their memories,
but they have already adjusted to the spacious movie theater.
Chocolate Milk Boy
Axel is pretending to be Saka.
We made quick road trip to the Grand Canyon West the first weekend in June.
It was an awesome experience; it is also much cheaper and less crowded to travel during a pandemic.

Weird end of year

Just like that, 8th grade is done.
Speeches written, a walk-thru promotion flashed by and a tail-gate celebration was thrown together.
I have so much to be thankful for, so I will start with my family and friends.

So glad to see these friends after so many months apart.

We got to say a quick goodbye and thank you to our teachers as well.

Thanks mom & dad!

More Covid Memories

The time when we ate 3 meals a day together at home.
Played outside, had sisterly sleepovers.
Celebrated Taco Bell Drive Thru and Instacart fresh fruit deliveries.
We still celebrated Easter with our church, egg hunts and the annual "egg challenge" viewed online with our cousins. Nana and Pops came over all PPE geared up and watched our "Peeps Guessing Game".
Masks: the 2020 look
Sourdough: the 2020 baking challenge
and lots of other baking
and lots of daily cooking
and lots of daily dishes!!!
In case they didn't get enough of each other all day.
Mom explained to Bear about how some people are extroverts and some are introverts;
then he would go around yelling. "Help mom, he is recharging on me!"
We also decided to build Bear his own room during this extra time at home.
But most nights he still lets his brother have a "sleepover".

Coronacation begins...

Major "pause" button.

Although we know not everyone is in the same boat as us. Believe me, I am on my own boat in this family. Lilli however has never been happier, somehow daddy is able to "work from the loud house" and my brothers are still passing despite missing half of their Zoom calls because mommy can't keep track of time.
"Distance Learning" :(
I miss my friends!! But we are "trying to "Safe Safe & Stay Home" but my mom loves that I still get my allergy shots twice a week so she has an excuse to get out.

Lots of "Zoom" training going on.

Funny Memes of the time
Smokey loved us being home so much!
Auntie Shannie & Uncle Mick found some pups to bring home.
We love our daddy! He works so hard for us!!
Happy 44th Bday in Quarintine
We celebrated with Carne Asada Fries after being on
the Keto diet and dropping 20.  Good job daddy!
Lots of family bike rides.
Backyard S'more nights.
