Lilli had a little jaundice and had to be on UV therapy over the weekend. It wasn't really hot, I think Lilli was just being dramatic for the camera.

Today is our last day at the hospital and I'm still unsure what to think about Lilli. I change my mind every 5 minutes. Mommy told us today we go home as a family and I asked if "Lilli had to come with us". Things are going to be different now, but I'm not sure how different...

Back in the Belly

Today the cardiologist examined Lilli and said that the large hole in her heart closed on its own overnight! Mommy and Daddy were so thankful for everyones thoughts and prayers. Here's a picture of them trying to smile for the camera even though they haven't gotten alot of sleep over the past two days.

As you can see I really liked seeing my baby sister - at first... When I first walked into the hospital room I was full of hugs and kisses and I told mommy "Thank you for giving me a little sister", but an hour later I realized what was going on and asked momma,"Could we put Lilli back in your belly now!"

Surprise She's Arrived!!!

Last night Mommy and Daddy sneaked off to the hospital. Mommy said it was "time", and Daddy said it was a "false alarm" because she wasn't screaming like the women in the labor videos.

But on January 10 6:01AM my little sister Lilli Victoria Wassink was born. She was 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches long. The doctor decided to take her out early because her heart rate was dropping during contractions. She is 2 weeks premature but her lungs seem fine. She does have a heart murmur from a hole in her heart.

Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) is not uncommon for newborns and often closes within the first 24 hours, but Lilli will probably need some medication to help close the opening in her heart. In the meantime we are all trying to fill it with love and prayers.

Yuppy Puppy

On Wednesday a little lost pinscher wandered into our garage. My mom said it was a lost. I convinced momma to keep it until someone calls as long as I help take care of him (a decision she will soon regret). Here's a picture of me taking Coco and Bruno for a walk with my "little sister".

I love being daddy's little girl.

I took this picture of Mommy and Daddy on our after New Year's trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, while mommy is 9 months pregnant. It's black and white because it's going down as a (parenting) memory.

Lipstick

I love getting into the "junk drawer" to see what I can find. I put on mommy's lipstick all by myself. Don't I look like a Princess?

Party

On New Year's Eve we had a few friends over to celebrate. Mikayla and I got to play princess dress-up.

We found Michael something that wasn't too girly.
