Opa's Birthday

It was Opa's 21st Birthday last week. He had just come back from San Diego after having some stents put in his heart. Especially after a Doctor approved glass of red wine, he felt ready for another blessed year.

We had a fun evening using Lola's indoor BBQ (a.k.a. Raclette), eating ice cream and having Aunt Tanya around to take happy pictures of us.

I wasn't too fond of the cow that was going to be my dinner.

Pumpkins 2008

We went to a real farm this year to pick out our pumpkins. I was a little hesitant at first, not wanting to walk on the crunchy leaves. Daddy cut quite a few off the vine for me to look at.

I finally found the perfect pumpkin and I carried it to the wheelbarrow all by myself.

Ready for a little smashed pumpkin?

We had fun in the fields. We went on a tractor ride, saw some scarecrows and even saw a pumpkin launch.

Sound of Music Sing-A-Long

Lola, Aunt Tanya, Mommy, Daddy and I went to the Sound of Music sing-a-long and we had a lot of fun. I wish you could hear my solo's but it was too dark for any good camera shots.

We got to participate in the movie with these prop flashcards. Next year I want to be part of the dress-up contest.

Lily Victoria Wassink

We are so blessed to announce, I'm going to be having a sister. Mommy and Daddy have picked out a special name. Like me she will be named after a favorite flower and a great aunt.

How...Why...Eww

Nana and Pops took me to the LA County Fair on Sunday and I got to meet some Indians. I couldn't quite figure out how to say "How".
I also couldn't quite figure out why the man was wearing feathers.

I didn't want to get too close.

Napping

Lately whether at Lola's house or at my new house, I've been putting up big fights to go to sleep. I'm afraid of what I might be missing and I don't want to be alone. Mommy took this picture of me sleeping because she thought it was a beautiful moment. (I'm sure it's right before she went down for her own nap.)

The Flag

I was a little hesitant about getting dirty.
But mommy and daddy said my hand print would never be this size again. So I made my mark.

Opa and Lola are so proud of their flag.

(I'm not trying to brag) but, did you know I can recite the whole Pledge of Allegiance?

P...P...Pops

Pops and I got to paint on a Paint horse at the fair on Sunday. It was fun, when we would brush him the horse would shiver.

A few weeks ago I got to go swimming at Tom and Sharon's house on their "dolphin".

The Pier

Nana, mommy and I went to the Santa Monica Pier last month. I got to see a fisherman catch a little fish.

Mommy told me that when she was little carnival games were only 25 cents. I just pretended to play this $2 boat game. It was still fun- I love being at the wheel!

Dress Up

Every day and perhaps at least ten times a day I'm a different princess..."you can be Flounder". I had fun going to my friend Abby's house, she let me be princess Tinkerbell.
